Sacred Therapy

A session with me begins with a guided practice to ground us in intention for our work together. Each session unfolds uniquely, drawing on what is most needed in the moment. I integrate Buddhist Psychotherapy and Indigenous Focusing-Oriented Therapy with Somatics and Curanderismo.

We slow things down enough to listen to what our bodies, hearts, and spirit are really communicating. I may integrate rituals, herbs, ancestors, spirits, the elements of land and water, imagination, play, and even spell-casting.

Through somatic inquiry, mindfulness, radical compassion, and communication with your spirit team, I hold space for your own magic and intuition to come alive. Yes, we address trauma, depression, anxiety, attachment wounds, and more. But on a deeper level, we’re also clearing soul wounds, ancestral curses, ego attachments, and ancient karmic knots.

Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.

Why Sacred?

I find therapeutic work to be deeply spiritual. When we navigate our inner world, with presence, curiosity, and radical compassion we are journeying into the depths of our humanity. Sacred as in respect and reverence for the work of going inward and listening for the medicine.

A session with me is like a present-moment meditation.

I invite you to pause and reconnect inward, gently dropping into your body and exploring the depths beneath the surface.

While the mind is powerful, our work focuses on moving beyond over-analyzing and tapping into the innate wisdom of your body and emotions. Through these pauses, we can fully arrive in the present moment, cultivating integration and sustainable healing.

So sacred because it is not a small thing to be with our suffering with an open heart. Sacred because it is no small thing to set intentions for healing. Sacred because we do not do this work just for us, but for how it reverberates to those around us and the impact it has for generations to come.

Testimonials

From anonymous clients

"Rysse is phenomenal. In our time working together, I've learned and continue to use practices to connect with my breath and body, get clear on my mental and physical needs, and process my anxieties. I feel more capable of taking care of myself because our sessions empower me to advocate and trust myself! Rysse is extremely attentive and knowledgeable about systemic oppression, such as systemic racism, white supremacy, capitalism, patriarchy, imperialism, homophobia, and all the ways systemic oppression can harm the body and mind.  As a Black Queer 2nd generation Nigerian-American, I never once felt like I had to explain my life. Rysse's ability to create non-judgemental space for me to navigate my emotions has been life-changing. I highly recommend that you seek out Rysse's services!"

"Sacred therapy with Rysse is a gentle journey. She has a loving presence I feel so held by. In our work together I've learned to be more in tune with my body and listen to my intuition. She always asks for my input and if it's ok to go somewhere, constantly checking for consent. This has been refreshing since I have had therapists in the past who have pushed me to go to places I wasn't ready for. With Rysse I have been able to process trauma I have never been able to speak to anyone else at all. I feel lighter and finally able to see clarity on things I never thought I could before. I am so grateful for her guidance and consistency. "

"I was completely new to the world of therapy and fortunately Rysse has made this process welcoming, clear and supportive.

Working with Rysse has significantly improved my well-being! In our sessions, I've learned how to look more deeply into myself, something that was initially unfamiliar and uncomfortable.

Rysse provides multiple ways to approach my issues, gives me autonomy, presents me with resources and I come out of each session with more tools to work with.

She's patient, speaks with honesty, listens carefully, free of judgement and with openness and mutual respect. I feel safe and trust her expertise and skill to guide me to better recognize self-love, radiant confidence, and collective care."

Reciprocity
Sliding Scale $150-$200

I believe therapeutic healing should be accessible to everyone. I’m continuously exploring ways to make that a reality while living in right relationship with reciprocity.

In a world where money so often carries trauma, I believe we could all use more transparency and generosity.

The exchange that feels nourishing and sustainable for me to be well is between $150 and $200 per session.

I trust you’ll feel into what amount feels most aligned for you.

During our consultation, we can explore availability and details together.

If you choose to use the sliding scale, I ask that you select an amount within this range. Paying toward the higher end allows me to offer more affordable sessions to others in need, while also caring for myself and the integrity of my work.

Why Reciprocity?

I use the word reciprocity instead of payment or fee because the work we do together is not transactional, it is relational, sacred, and rooted in mutual care.

Reciprocity honors that what I offer comes from years of lived experience, training, and spiritual devotion, and that your investment is not just financial but energetic.

It is a shared agreement, a circle of giving and receiving, where both of us are nourished.
